Our travel agency in Tokyo city will be closed on Monday 20 March 2017 for Vernal Equinox Day i.e. the beginning of spring, which is a national holiday in Japan.
Enjoy the cherry blossoms and pink/white “sakura” petals flying with the wind in Japanese parks or in the streets :)
Our travel agency in Tokyo will be closed on Friday 23 December 2016 for the Emperor’s birthday, which is a Japanese public holiday.
Our diligent travel agents will welcome you as usual at Travel Stand Japan near Suidobashi station in Tokyo until 18:30 today but will be on holidays afterwards (travel agency closed on 30-31 December 2015) to recover from a year of hard work, like many employees in Japan :)
In case of emergency, you may reach our inbound manager DUVAL Sébastien by e-mail or on social networks in English, French or Japanese.
We wish you a great end of year wherever you are with your family, friends, friendly strangers, good food, and special drinks :) See you in 2016!
Interested in Japanese history? Learn about World War 2 in Japan thanks to our original walking tour in Tokyo “After the War: Fighters and Civilians” in English or French on 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26, or 27 February 2015. We usually gather around 09:30 near Kudanshita station at Hotel Grand Palace (Chiyoda ward).
This interesting tour includes a visit at Yasukuni Shrine and the National Showa Memorial Museum. Why? First, Yasukuni Shrine is one of the most important places related to war in Japan (although foreigners are more likely to think about Hiroshima and Nagasaki); it enshrines 2.466.000 souls of soldiers and ordinary citizens dead for Japan, and features unexpected statues! Second, the National Showa Memorial Museum has excellent exhibitions related to life in Japan around and during World War Two; we recommend you to visit this museum with Yes in Japan staff because explanations are almost only in Japanese language…
Check your calendar and make a reservation :)

The map now informs about Jimbocho station, Takebashi station, and their surroundings: Ebisudo gallery, the national museum of modern art, the east gardens of the Imperial Palace…
We will upload this map before 31 October 2014 and will distribute its paper version to our partners (local hotels…) at the end of October and beginning of November 2014. Tell your friends to get the map online before flying to Japan or on paper at a local hotel after arriving in Tokyo!
