Our French travel manager Sébastien Duval is back at Travel Stand Japan, fully refreshed by his holidays in France! You can benefit from Yes in Japan full services (activities and tours in Tokyo, consulting, flights, reservations, translation, planning of trips to Kyoto or Osaka…) in English, French and Japanese language if you visit our travel agency near Hotel Niwa Tokyo and Suidobashi station in Tokyo’s Chiyoda ward.
To promote Japanese art, our inbound travel manager negotiated and obtained a 5% discount valid on all products at Toyokuni Atelier Studio until 01 March 2015 (may be extended)! Just bring our “Autumn/winter 2014” paper map and spend at least 1.000 yens 🙂 Toyokuni Atelier Studio sells beautiful sumi-e paintings, original postcards great for New Year, unique tee-shirts with handmade drawings, decorated iPhone cases… by the Japanese artist HONDA Toyokuni.
During your autumn/winter holidays in Japan, get our free map at our travel agency or at any Yes in Japan partner near the gallery/shop in Tokyo’s Chiyoda ward: Hotel Grand Palace, Sakura Hotel Jimbocho, the National Showa Memorial Museum, Bookhouse Jinbocho, the coffee shop Mamekohboh on Yasukuni street…
Enjoy the local culture and life during your holidays or stay in Japan, and share it with your family and friends back home!
This summer, the Yes in Japan team gives 47% discount coupons to use at Mamekohboh coffee shops in Tokyo city! Your cup of hot coffee costs 100 yens instead of 190 yens in September 2014 (autumn coupons coming soon)… Mamekohboh stores are great to drink black coffee from many countries in Tokyo’s Chiyoda ward 🙂
To get Japanese coupons, visit or contact our travel agency in Tokyo (we are negotiating diverse ways to give free discounts). Enjoy your coffee in Japan!
The Yes in Japan team met tonight at Travel Stand Japan to draft its free brochure about Tokyo’s Chiyoda ward for autumn 2014. 25% bigger than in summer and more useful for tourism, its map should cover most of the north of Chiyoda ward: Yasukuni shrine west, Imperial garden south, Akihabara east, and Tokyo Dome city north. Highlighting the Book Town and Electric Town, it should indicate the location of subway/train stations: Akihabara, Awajicho, Iidabashi, Jimbocho, Kanda, Kudanshita, Ochanomizu, Ogawamachi, Shin-ochanomizu, Suidobashi and Takebashi.
This second map should inform about:
- More bars, coffee shops and restaurants (especially more diverse Japanese food). We are preparing English menus for some partners 🙂
- More souvenir/gift shops and specialist stores for shopping.
- Prices, discounts, offers, and possibility to pay by credit card.
- Activities, experiences and tours.
- Christian churches, Shinto shrines, museums, places for money exchange…
- Events such as festivals and martial arts tournaments in October, November and December 2014.
Since this morning, the Yes in Japan team distributes 5% discount coupons (8% for purchases above 10801 yens) to use at Japan’s tax-free store chain Laox. Laox is a good choice if you look for a duty-free store in Japan to buy a digital camera, diverse consumer electronics, Japanese souvenirs, cosmetics, jewellery…
Use our coupons in:
- Airports – Kansai international airport store, Okayama airport store.
- Hokkaido prefecture – Chitose outlet mall rera store (Chitose city), Sapporo store (Sapporo city).

Travel Stand Japan will be closed on Tuesday 29 April 2014, which is a national holiday in Japan (Showa Day = birthday of the Showa Emperor a.k.a. Hirohito, who reigned over Japan during World War 2). Many Japanese restaurants and banks will close; plan accordingly… and tell us before Monday if you want us to organize a special tour or activity for you on Tuesday in Tokyo or nearby e.g. Kamakura to see its Big Buddha statue or Hakone to see Mount Fuji. You can also visit our travel agency in Suidobashi today or on Monday for sightseeing tips or help to prepare a trip on Showa Day 🙂
We enjoy various flowers in Tokyo these warm days. No more cherry blossoms but nice purple wisteria flowers at some public parks, Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines. Enjoy the Golden Week and your Spring holidays too!
You can book at our travel agency, by phone, by e-mail or on our Yes in Japan English Website until 18:30 on the last business day before the activity/walk. You can check the dates of the Japanese public holidays on our site if needed.
Our prices are in yens, all taxes included. You can pay at the gathering spot just before the activity/walk or earlier at our agency. Please prepare the exact amount in cash: payments by card or in foreign money are unavailable at the moment.
If you wish to join a walk/activity normally planned on a different day or hour, please contact us to check availability. We will be glad to make your trip in Japan a greater experience 🙂
Our travel agency in Suidobashi will be closed on Friday 21 March 2014, which is a public holiday in Japan (Vernal Equinox Day = first day of Spring). Many Japanese banks and restaurants will close too; organize yourself accordingly… and visit Travel Stand Japan before Thursday evening if you need advice for sightseeing or help to prepare a trip during the long week-end 🙂
We expect beautiful flowers on cherry trees in (currently warm) Tokyo by Friday… Enjoy Spring!
